Megaman was established in 1994 as a specialist in high-performance, energy-efficient lighting. It made its name by developing the industry’s first classic-shaped compact fluorescent lamp, and since then has moved firmly into LED – adding metal halide replacement LEDs, smart lighting, LED components and a growing range of luminaires. Its products are distributed widely around the world under the motto ‘Life in Light’.
Megaman’s design approach centres on lighting that is efficient, reliable and pleasant to live with. Its LED lamps come in a wide choice of shapes, sizes, colour temperatures and features, so it is easy to replace older bulbs like for like. The company describes its mission as lighting up the world in a sustainable and socially responsible way.
Our Megaman selection focuses on practical essentials. It includes warm white 2700K LED bulbs – a dimmable ST64 filament bulb with an E27 cap, and opal classic bulbs in E27 and B22 multipacks – plus TOTT 2 integrated LED floodlights in 24W and 45W versions. The floodlights give 4000K neutral white light and are rated IP65 for outdoor use, ideal for driveways, yards and building exteriors.
2700K describes the colour of the light. It gives a warm white glow similar to a traditional incandescent bulb, which suits living rooms and bedrooms. The 4000K used in Megaman TOTT floodlights is a cooler, neutral white for outdoor areas.
Some are. The Megaman ST64 filament bulb in our range is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch. Other bulbs may not be, so always check the product page before using a bulb on a dimmer circuit.
Yes. TOTT 2 floodlights are rated IP65, so they are protected against dust and water jets for outdoor use. They have integrated LEDs, so there is no bulb to replace, and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
